Booking, Course Preparation and Attendance

You can book your course online through the SafeHands First Aid Academy website.

Simply choose your course, select an available date and time, complete your booking details and follow the payment steps.

For help choosing the right course, you can contact us by phone, WhatsApp or email before booking.

After booking your course, you will receive booking confirmation and instructions about the next steps.

Depending on the course, you may be required to complete online theory before attending the face-to-face practical session. Please read all booking emails carefully and complete any required online learning before your class date.

You should also check the course location, arrival time, parking information and what to bring on the day.

Yes, most courses include online pre-learning that must be completed before attending the face-to-face practical session.

This helps you understand the theory before class, so the practical session can focus on hands-on skills, scenarios and assessment activities.

Online theory completion time depends on the course, your previous knowledge and how quickly you work through the learning materials.

For further information about the online theory completion time for each course, please visit our course pages, where you will find more detailed course information, including learning requirements, practical session details and expected completion time.

Please bring:

Photo ID
Comfortable clothing suitable for practical activities
Access to your online learning completion if required
Any required workplace or student details for enrolment

Please note, you may be required to kneel on the floor and perform CPR on a manikin as part of the assessment.

Learners should arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled course start time to allow time for registration and administrative requirements.

Safety instructions, practical demonstrations and assessment activities will begin promptly at the scheduled course start time.

If you arrive late, you may not be able to complete the required assessment activities and may need to reschedule, depending on the course requirements.

If you cannot attend your booked course, please contact SafeHands First Aid Academy as soon as possible.

Rescheduling, cancellation or refund options will be managed according to the relevant booking, refund and cancellation policy.

Course Requirements, Certificates and Learner Support

Yes. First aid and CPR courses delivered through SafeHands First Aid Academy are nationally recognised training courses and are aligned with current Australian first aid training requirements and Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines.

Certificates are issued after successful completion of all required online theory, face-to-face practical assessment, and enrolment requirements.

Yes. Same-day certificate issuing will be available for SafeHands First Aid Academy learners after successful completion of all required online learning, face-to-face practical assessments, enrolment requirements and administrative checks.

Learners must meet all course requirements before a nationally recognised first aid or CPR certificate can be issued.

After you complete the course, your trainer will review your practical assessment and confirm whether all required course components have been successfully completed.

If you have completed the online theory, practical assessment and all enrolment requirements, you will receive your certificate on the same day.

CPR assessment usually requires learners to perform CPR on a manikin placed on the floor, as this reflects real-life emergency response requirements.

If you have a medical condition, injury, pregnancy-related limitation, disability or physical concern that may affect your ability to kneel, bend or perform CPR, please contact us before booking or before attending class.

We will discuss your situation and explain the course requirements clearly. Where reasonable, we will support you during training; however, all required practical assessment tasks must still be completed to meet the course requirements.

Yes. SafeHands First Aid Academy focuses on practical learning and trainer feedback.

During the course, your trainer will observe your practical skills and provide guidance to help improve your technique, confidence and understanding.

Where appropriate, you may receive personalised feedback about your CPR technique, first aid response, scenario performance and areas for improvement. This helps you understand not just whether you passed, but how to respond more confidently in a real emergency.
